Cottsway staff join customers for community clear-up in Cirencester

Last week we held our first community clear-up event of the year on Shepherds Way and Bowling Green Road in Cirencester.

These clear-up events give our customers the chance to tidy up the area where they live and get rid of unwanted items from their own home and garden, or those dumped thoughtlessly by others in their neighbourhood.

Some of the homes in this area were formerly owned by Cirencester Housing, who took the decision to transfer all of their housing stock to Cottsway at the end of 2023.

As part of the transfer agreement, we promised to organise two clear-up days before the end of May. This was the first and a second will take place on Thursday 30 May at Vyners Close and Lavender Lane. More information will be sent to customers in those areas nearer the time.

Our Communities Manager Vicki Paxford, who organised and took part in the event, said: “It was great to see some of our newer customers working alongside a small group of our staff who volunteered to be part of this clear-up. Working together, we managed to fill four skips.

“It’s always a pleasure to meet our customers and we managed to have some fun too!”
