Our house project
We're supporting single, under 25s on out-of-work benefits in West Oxfordshire by taking larger properties and turning them into shared accommodation.
Working with Aspire and West Oxfordshire District Council, the Our house project provides housemates with:
- Their own room in a shared house for a low rent (this includes bills) and the use of a communal kitchen and computer.
- Support with access to training and apprenticeships to help them get back into work; and
- A dedicated support worker to help them to set their job goals, get ‘work ready’ and pursue recruitment opportunities.
To help them settle in, housemates are also given a decorating pack so they can make their bedrooms homely. If they would like to take on any DIY in the home, we will also help by providing tools and a skilled tutor to help them.
