How our loan scheme helped customer Carol

Carol Godfrey recently benefited from our free laptop loan scheme.

Carol, 73, who lives in a Cottsway property in Witney, said: “Initially I was against getting online and I didn’t even want a mobile phone, but my daughter encouraged me to take part in the loan scheme when I was unwell. It was a godsend as the online games helped to keep me occupied when I couldn’t get out.

“I’ve discovered a love for texting and I like being able to message my grandchildren. Young people message to communicate these days, they don’t do phone calls! Now I get messages from them and feel more connected. They send me photos and I can talk to my grandson about the football.

“My family have since bought me my own tablet and mobile phone so I can keep in touch with them more easily.

“I was so against being online but I can even order my own shopping now. And since I have been a bit poorly it has been a lifeline - it brings the world to you. So, I would say, give it a go, you’ve got nothing to lose and you might gain a whole lot more.”
