We have been working with developer Bewley Homes to provide a mix of 2 and 3-bed homes – 13 for affordable rent and 7 for shared ownership. The first four shared ownership properties were handed over last week.
The development, named Marlborough Gardens, lies off the A4095 Witney Road and will include 50 properties in total when completed in summer 2022, along with open spaces for recreational use.
Colin Bloodworth, our Assistant Director of Development and Assets, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Bewley Homes on this new development. We have an ambitious development programme and we want to continue to deliver more much-needed affordable homes to support those West Oxfordshire residents in housing need.
“Our shared ownership scheme offers an affordable way to part-buy a home if you are unable to purchase on the open market as you do not need a large mortgage or deposit. The first four shared owners will be moving in imminently and it’s great that we have been able to support them onto the property ladder.”
Simon Taphouse, Commercial Director for Bewley Homes, said: “Marlborough Gardens is in a great location on the outskirts of a popular village and with easy access to Witney and Woodstock, and the A40. The remaining properties are due to be completed, ready for occupancy, next summer.
“This is our second development with Cottsway and we value working with them and are looking forward to working on other projects together in the future.”
