These handovers bring our final number of new builds for the year to 130, including 94 for affordable rent and 36 for shared ownership.
Earls Park, Gloucester
We took handover of a further 9 apartments for affordable rent on the new Earls Park development in Gloucester.
The 2-bed apartments on Tuffley Crescent are set in a lovely location with Gloucester city centre and the waterside setting of Gloucester Quays and docks all within walking distance.
We purchased these homes – all two-bedroom apartments - from developer Matthew Homes with the support of £333,900 grant funding from Homes England. Having previously secured 14 apartments on this site, this brings our total number of properties on Earls Park to 23.
Greenbridge Road, Swindon
We took handover of one 3-bedroom house for shared ownership on Greenbridge Road in Swindon. Keepmoat Homes are developing this site and our homes are located on Smiths Lane, named to reflect the site’s former use by WHSmith’s headquarters.
Brize Meadows, West Oxfordshire
We were also given the keys for 10 more new properties at the Brize Meadows development, under construction on land between east Carterton and Brize Norton.
Bloor Homes, who are building these homes on our behalf, handed over 4 x 2 bed houses for affordable rent and 6 x 2 bed flats for shared ownership.
This brings our total number of completed properties on this site to 99 – the shared ownership properties have all been reserved.
The homes are being built as part of a larger development that will include a new primary school and playing field, country park extension, sports pitches and allotments.
Once finally completed, we will have new 245 affordable homes on this development – 147 rented and 98 shared ownership.
