We are celebrating adding our 5000th home to our property portfolio.
Formed in 2001, we have homes in West Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire, and provide affordable housing for more than 10,000 people.
Vivian Rosser, Cottsway's Chief Executive, said “I’m delighted that we have reached our 5000th property milestone and I’m extremely proud that we are in a position to continue adding to our housing stock, especially given the current Coronavirus pandemic.
“Cottsway is absolutely committed to providing homes for people in housing need, with our customers being our number one priority. We are proud to work closely with local councils and a range of developers and we have ambitious plans for growth to provide even more new homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.”
While work was delayed during the initial stage of the UK lockdown, construction is back under way at our latest new development sites in Carterton, Shipton-under-Wychwood, Stanton Harcourt, Tackley and Witney, all in West Oxfordshire.
We are also due to redevelop two of our former older peoples’ schemes at Blenheim Court, Carterton, and Lavender Place, Bampton, in August. These sites will provide a further 49 new homes for people aged over-55 when completed in Spring 2022.
As well as having ambitious development targets, we also have a diverse range of older homes, dating from 1919 onwards. We are committed to ensuring these are kept in excellent condition for our customers and invested over £7 million last year in repairs and maintenance, including replacing 128 kitchens, 102 bathrooms, refitting 314 empty homes and carrying out 3,806 gas services.
