DELAYS TO REPAIRS: We’ve completed many of the outstanding repairs logged with us prior to lockdown and are working hard to clear the remaining backlog. However we are experiencing some shortages in supplies, difficulties recruiting trade staff, and higher than normal levels of sickness absence. Please bear with us – we are completing repairs as quickly as we can. Thank you for your patience. For our latest service information, see our Coronavirus webpage

Long standing customer, Edna, with her home grown little oak tree

From little acorns grow mighty oaks

Meet Edna, one of our long-standing customers!

During the pandemic Edna, who’s in her 90s, has been nurturing a little oak tree and watching it grow. Today she kindly donated it to Witney Town Council’s tree planting programme.

Sam Stronach, our Community Investment Officer, met with Edna to collect the tree which will now be planted as part of a cluster of new oak trees at Windrush Cemetery, in Witney.

Edna says: “I’m absolutely thrilled that my little tree is going to be used by the council. I’ve loved watching it grow over the past few months, especially during the periods of lockdown when I had to stay at home. It’s wonderful to think that one day it will hopefully grow into a mighty oak overlooking Witney.”
