Organisers of the national ‘Get Online Week’ campaign say that there are 9 million people in the UK who cannot use the internet or their device without help, and 4.7 million people don’t have any digital skills at all.
If you’re one these people, then we want to hear from you as we’re offering our customers the chance to get FREE help and support during Get Online Week.
IT trainer Fiona Joines (pictured) will be available from 19-25 October to answer any questions you may have to help you to get online and make the most of the internet.
- Need help with emails?
- Want to video call but not sure how?
- Want to start banking online but worried about security?
Then let us know!
Vicki Paxford, our Communities Manager, said: “This year, perhaps more than ever, has shown us just how much a difference the internet can make to our lives, with the Coronavirus pandemic causing us to rely on technology to keep in touch and carry out daily tasks.
“We’re very proud of the work we do to support our local communities and customers and I’d like to encourage people to take up this opportunity to get free advice and to become more confident online. It may help with career prospects or applying for jobs, or it could just be for shopping or paying bills online for example – no question is too small!”
To register for our free online help and support simply complete the form below or call 01993 890000. Further instructions will then be provided.
