Final keys handed over to affordable homes in Bampton

We recently took handover of the final four affordable homes at a new development in Bampton.

Bampton Meadows provides a mix of 2, 3, and 4-bed houses and 1 and 2-bed flats offering 64 new affordable homes in total – 42 for affordable rent and 22 for shared ownership.

Colin Bloodworth, our Director of Development and Partnerships, said: “Work started on this site in 2020 and we’re delighted to be able to hand over the keys to the final four homes and welcome our final new customers to this development.

“With the levels of housing need so high in the district it’s important that we continue to grow our property portfolio. Cottsway are dedicated to delivering more affordable homes for those in housing need, while ensuring our existing properties are of a high standard.”

The new affordable homes at Bampton Meadows, off Mount Owen Road in Bampton, have been built on our behalf by Taylor Wimpey. The 64 Cottsway homes are part of a larger development which will provide a total of 160 homes in total when complete.

Keith Simmons, Manager Director for Taylor Wimpey Bristol, added: “We are proud of the contributions we make to local areas in which we build. Bampton Meadows is a vibrant new community in a great location, and we’re delighted to have provided more affordable housing in West Oxfordshire.”
