Cottsway appoints social housing champion as Chair Elect

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Anne McLoughlin as Board Chair Elect.

Anne will join us with extensive experience from the social housing sector, with a strong background in both executive and non-executive roles.

She will take up the position of Chair Elect on 1 September before succeeding Andrew Hall when the time comes for him to conclude his term as Chair during 2026.

Anne has held a diverse portfolio of non-executive roles in organisations she is passionate about, including serving as Chair of Homeless Link, the national membership body for homelessness charities and Innisfree Housing Association. She currently chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committee on the Board of Clúid Housing, one of Ireland’s largest housing associations.

Alongside her board work, she is a management consultant and interim CEO, supporting organisations to transform services by animating their social purpose.

Cottsway has almost 5,800 homes and houses more than 12,300 people, the majority in West Oxfordshire, as well as in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.

Anne said: “I believe everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to call home where they are respected. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in frontline and leadership roles to support this goal. I’m excited to join Cottsway as a locally focused provider that partners with others to improve housing opportunities, maintain quality homes, and support customers.”

Cottsway’s Board is made up of two executive and eight non-executive members. Anne’s appointment follows a rigorous recruitment process, supported by Cottsway’s customer Scrutiny Group, a panel of customers who regularly review and provide feedback on the organisation’s work.

Our Chief Executive, Richard Reynolds said: “Anne’s executive career in social housing spans senior leadership and CEO roles, where she has built a strong track record of delivering results. She is a respected member of the sector, and we look forward to her leadership as we continue to work with partners to turn houses into homes, build strong communities and make a positive difference to people’s lives.”
