Chipping Norton to benefit from new contract between Cottsway and Cala Homes
We have recently exchanged contracts to deliver 34 new affordable homes near Chipping Norton.
The new properties will be built by developer Cala Homes at their Bliss Willows scheme and will offer a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bed properties - 16 for shared ownership, 11 for social rent and 7 for affordable rent.
We are West Oxfordshire’s largest affordable housing provider and to help us support a more sustainable future, these new homes will have air source heat pumps installed to reduce carbon emissions and lower customer energy bills. Electric vehicle charging points will also be provided to help meet residents needs in the future.
Colin Bloodworth, our Director of Development and Partnerships, said: “It’s great to be working with Cala Homes to bring more much-needed affordable homes to the Chipping Norton area. This new site is part of our ambitious development programme, and we’re committed to building more affordable housing to help tackle the housing crisis.”
The 34 new affordable homes are part of a larger development which will offer 86 new properties in total when complete. A children’s play area and community allotments will also be provided on the site.

This project will offer a range of homes designed especially for families and local people who might otherwise find it difficult to get onto the housing ladder in Chipping Norton – helping to meet local housing needs.”
The first Cottsway properties are due be finalised this winter, with the scheme due to be completed in spring 2027.
Further details of the new homes will be made available closer to the time of completion.
