Changes to rent for 2020-21

If you are one of our tenants, your rent will be increasing by 2.7% from April 2020, in line with government guidance. If you are one of our shared owners, your rent will change according to the terms of your lease.

This is our first rent increase for rental properties in five years and we are letting you know in advance to help you plan your household budgets.

If you have been a Cottsway tenant for some time, you may recall that we have reduced rent in rental homes by 1% every year for last four years. Rent for your home will still be lower than it was five years ago after the increase in April.

Your rent payments enable us to manage, maintain and improve existing Cottsway homes.

We will be writing to all of our customers in the New Year to let you know exactly what your revised rent for 2020-21 will be and what you need to do if you receive Housing Benefit of Universal Credit.

If you pay service charges, these may also change, and we will also let you know about this when we write to you again.

Please get in touch with us if you are struggling to pay your rent - we are here to help.
