From Youth Forum to shaping services

14 July 2026

The Cottsway Scrutiny group is a small group of customers who meet regularly to look at our services and share ideas on how they can be improved for everyone.

New member Kyle shares why he joined the group and what they’ve been working on.

"I’m really enjoying being part of the Scrutiny Group and helping improve services for customers.

I’ve lived in Cottsway properties for most of my life, first with my parents and now in Eynsham with my own family, so I’ve had a long connection with Cottsway. I was even part of their Youth Forum as a teenager and completed my work experience with their IT team!

I’m one of two new members to join the group this year. Mick joined around the same time and lives in Fifield. After serving in the Armed Forces, he’s now retired and spends much of his time volunteering and supporting people in his local community.

Over the next few months, the group will be checking progress on their latest review of ‘Ending your tenancy’. Last year, they looked at the whole journey, from deciding to move out through to handing back the keys and made 13 recommendations to help improve the experience for customers.

We will also revisit the review of the void (empty home) standard and continue tracking actions from the anti-social behaviour (ASB) scrutiny review to see how they’re progressing.

If you live in an Cottsway home and would like to help shape and improve services, we’d love to hear from you. Why not join our mailing list so we can contact you from time to time for your views and feedback?"
