Community drop-in events for Anti-Social Behaviour Week

Held during ASB Awareness Week, a national campaign, the event will take place:

• On Wednesday 1 July from 11am - 3pm
• At Corn Exchange Witney, Market Square Witney, OX28 6AB

Organised by our housing team, the awareness day is being delivered in partnership with other housing providers and local policing teams. It aims to bring communities together, encourage conversations around ASB, explain how to access support, and give people the opportunity to raise concerns directly with organisations working to tackle the issue.

Information will be available on how to report ASB, what housing providers do to investigate reports, and how partner organisations work together. Representatives from various organisations will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions, including:

• Aster Group 
• GreenSquareAccord 
• Soha Housing 
• Sovereign Network Group 
• Thames Valley Police
• Victims First
• Victim Support 

We will be running a FREE prize draw during the event for visitors to be in with the chance of winning a Ring camera doorbell and will have 50 ‘goodie bags’ to give away.

There will also be information for our customers about some of the help and support available to them, and local communities, including a laptop and tablet loan scheme, coaching and mentoring, grant funding, and access to things like Mental Health First Aid Training and the ‘Parent Toolkit’ aimed at supporting parents and guardians.

As well as organising the Witney event, representatives from our housing team and West Mercia Police will be in Evesham on Thursday 2 July with all welcome to attend a:

• Community meeting at the park in Lupin Walk, Evesham, at 1.30pm to talk about ASB and any community safety issues with customers. Free bike marking will be taking place.
• Joint estate walkabout following the meeting, between 2.30pm - 3.30pm.

“Anti-social behaviour can have a serious impact on individuals and communities, and we are committed to working closely with our partners and customers to tackle it effectively. Events like this are a valuable opportunity to listen to concerns, raise awareness of the support available, and show how we can work together to create safer, stronger neighbourhoods. We are looking forward to getting to see people in person and answering any questions.”

ASB Awareness Week (29 June - 5 July) is a national campaign highlighting the impact anti-social behaviour can have on individuals and communities, and the work being done to prevent and address it.
