Celebrating a milestone - our 6000th home

We have recently completed our 6,000th property - marking a significant milestone in our continuing effort to provide more affordable homes to support more people.

Formed in 2001, we are West Oxfordshire’s largest affordable housing provider with over 13,000 people currently living in our homes across West Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.

As a social housing provider, we are committed to developing more new homes for both rent and shared ownership across the region and are delighted to have just taken handover of our 6,000th property. The property is located on one of our new developments in Leckhampton, near Cheltenham, which will deliver a total of 140 new homes.

Richard Reynolds, our Chief Executive, said: “Over the past 25 years we’ve worked hard to provide high-quality, affordable homes that support individuals, families and communities to thrive. We’ve recently marked our 25th anniversary and now reaching 6,000 homes is another significant milestone.

“In 2025-26, we invested £53m in developing more new homes and we have an ambitious development programme to continue growing. We’re doing this because at the heart of everything we do is people and the significant need for more affordable homes to support the many who simply can’t afford to rent or buy on the open market. This can only be successful through partnership working and I would like to thank everyone we with work, as well as the communities we work within and serve.”

Construction is continuing at the Leckhampton development and we are also currently working on new schemes in West Oxfordshire (Chipping Norton and Charlbury), Wiltshire (Wanborough, Highworth, South Marston and Malmesbury) and others in Gloucestershire (Moreton-in-Marsh, Tetbury, Brockworth). One of our current largest schemes, Brize Meadow between Brize Norton and Carterton, will provide 271 new Cottsway homes and is due to complete shortly.
